This is a process Nero Scout, part of the Nero V7 package that scans your PC for new media content and adds it to its internal database for easier retrival. It is a process hog and should be stoped under my computer, right click on Nero Scout, choose options and uncheck "enable Nero scout". This will end several useless processes. You can always start Nero Scout from the program list if needed. A reboot is required before the process will stop. J Regan. | |

NmBgMonitor.exe obviously indexes all multimedia content on your computer and if you have lots of it, this process can bring your computer down to its knees. On my computer this proccess eats up to 1.5 GB of Virtual memory, and 380 MB of RAM, so it is a real disaster and computer may stop responding because of it. I recommend to kill that proccess.
