| It is not needed for sound. My sound works just fine when I end Sigmatel's processes. When running in the background, it takes up a whopping 8mb of memory and makes my PC slow. Check Task Manager (Cntrl+Alt+Del) to see how much memory it uses. Too much, IMO. To stop it from running in to background, go to START-- RUN-- MSCONFIG-- (OK)-- STARTUP tab-- uncheck any programs you don't want to run. KJM | |
