Part of an update client for Microsoft Intellipoint, the Digital Persona Update Check runs in the background and monitors for upgrades to Intellipoint packages with biometric support. A suite that provides support to keyboards and mice with greater than normal functionality, IntelliPoint includes a user interface that allows you to configure your peripheral device settings. If you disable the process, the mouse or keyboard will function as a standard device and any settings you made through the IntelliPoint interface will not be in effect. Digital Persona products are a line of biometric technologies such as fingerprint readers and smartcard devices that interface with Intellipoint peripherals.
