rate4 Deleting this file is essential if you see it running after you open Internet Explorer.   stills
rate0 I have SBC/Yahoo DSL which includes a large collection of files and programs
rate0 All I know is that my computer starts running at 100%CPU from this thing. I end the process and everything is fine and I am still on yahoo with no interruptions which makes me wonder if it really is yahoo. If it was, wouldn't it close the window?
rate5 You will find that yahoo VERY often hides its applications, such as this one so that users cannot uninstall them, that alone tells me that Yahoo products are spyware.   Joseph
rate2 just installed Yahoo DSL and ZoneAlarm didn't know what ycommon was  See also: Link   tony
rate3 I know little about this file. But, when I start my BT! Yahoo browser and nothing happens, stopping this process will make the browser open immediately. (Before I would have to restart the computer.)   Tama
rate4 my computer also runs at 100% when it runs I have not had any problems after I erased it with counterspy   JMitchell
rate0 i think it is a worm that yahoo put in
rate4 It appeared on my PC just one week before a serious infection with Sypware Protect 2009 manifested itself. Its associated prefetch file on the WINDOWS Prefetch folder cannot be moved, copied, and resistes deletion or even examination of its contents withe the Windows Notepad even with the computer running in Safe Mode and even with full Administrator privileges and even by using the DOS window, which should not be for prefetch files since these files are supposed to be erasable from the Prefetch folder   Pete Donaldson
