It may also be used to configure hotkeys on certain models, to let you control how some functions are activated. This process isn't mandatory for system operation, but is not recommended, as you'll lose important functionality on your machine.

Ending this process will prevent the pc from drawing the image(bar, graph etc) and remove the tray icon.
