rate0 It's seems to be very very mem hungry. On my machine it's above 105,000k...   Mümmel

rate1 to do with Web/POP3 filtering, which can be turned off if resources too high, but DO NOT remove via TManager process lists.   anorak
rate3 smae thing happening to me its now using 75,000k ram... crazy!   Marwan
rate3 I switched to PC-Cillin to get away from the memory hogs typical of Norton and McAfee. The discipline to write tight programs is suffering from accessiblity to cheap memory. Trend Micro should get back to first principles - write tight and be inobtrusive.   Forbes R
rate0 it was taking more room and crashed my system.. i dont know what to do.. i dont want to get rid of it because its a needed file.. but i think i should
rate3 yes it is a cpu hog   joe
rate1 MEMORY HOG!   Dave
rate1 Definitely a resource hog, but then does anyone know of an anti-virus suite that isn't? Trend Micro's proxy service uses 80 meg of my memory. Is there a program out there as good (or better) that does it and doesn't require so much memory?   Wayne
rate1 Trend Micro security suite executable. Definitely a needed security resource. If you are having problems with memory usage, up the memory, it's certainly cheap enough... and although I agree they should write tighter code, don't hold your breath.   Le
rate3 Part of trend micro pc-cilin - its chewing up 83,000k ram on my machine - good thing i'm using 2gb ddr 400.   Glen m

rate3 I'm up to 65k now, on a 512 machine. I don't use PC-Cillin on my other pc (2GB RAM) just for the mem usage.

rate1 I think if people are getting high CPU usage, then it is from something other than tmproxy. I have low CPU usage from this file. However when I had wmiprvse listed other than the System 32/WBEM, this file started running higher along with other files.   Gail
rate1 It's a huge memory hog! Up to 72 megs so far  See also: Link   Steve

rate1 ...also used to check that the web pages you access do not have malicious embedded ActiveX or Java code which could harm your PC or infect it with viruses. So if you're reading this, you're looking at webpage, and that's why it's using so much memory.   DrSKooT
rate1 Getting better in it's need for memory, but still a big hog.   Mark
rate3 Appearently part of Trend Micro PCcillin. Takes up way too much memory. i thought this was supposed to fix the problems w McAfee, but it's always the biggest hog in my task manager.   Justin
rate0 it is taking 77216KB of memory right now which isnt pleasing me at all   Mike
rate3 Just uninstall Trend Micro idiot stuff and get another firewall and antivirus, as i did   Me
rate0 Must disable Spybot immunization and uninstall spybot to run effectively
rate1 With all features turned on to maximum the memory consuption is about 80MB od Virtual memory. This can slow down memory-needed computers a lot. Solution: Buy another memory module or: Tur off Anti-Spam protection (-25MB); Turn off Mail monitor (-50MB!). But be careful, as you are turning off features, you are speeding up computer but, also, you are more vurneable to mail viruses and spam mails.   Mladen Perisic
