BillyD - RRTechSupport | 180Search Assistant is generally installed by some other piece of spyware. This not only displays ads but logs your browsing habits to send back to 180! If you have this you most likely have several other programs that you need to uninstall. |
john doe | I have this file on my pc since I installed Kazaa light resurection |
STyx | connection with AdTools.exe WinKeep.exe |
semir | It seems to install a Trojan. It was installed without my knowledge into C:\temp, then tried to access the internet (ZoneAlarm warning). At the same time, my anti-virus (AVG) detected a Trojan. AVG does however not seem to recognise 'salm.exe' as a threat! |
Andy. | I know it's slowed by broadband connection down to as slow as my old dial-up sometimes. It's affiliated in some way with 180 solutions. It's taken over 10mb of my hard drive in 4 days and was piggybacking on, perhaps, a music file I was trying to download. I have taken the big step and deleted a 9.75mb file from "search for files" and am awaiting repurcussions. There are a few treacherous aspects to this nasty piece of software too voluminous to go into. I have spybot and Ad-Aware which it seems to have avoided. |
RichiV2k | I think I downloaded it believing I had to in order to run a some streaming video info on something unrelated. Now windows is slow or uncooperative altogether and popups everywhere....I'm checkingall "new " looking files and via properties, anything that was created that same night is getting deleted. |
Brian Linklater | absolutely nothing but very annoyed of the intrusion without permission |
Lawrence | Its a spyware program related to Xhzmue.exe i have it its really bad. |
einish | horrible adware related to 180Search solutions |
pat | seems to slow my windows programs to a crawl, trying to decide if i should delete it or not . Is it a virus? |
