Go to START RUN, type in msconfig, choose the Startup tab and simply uncheck it. If you ever need it again, then you can change things just by checking that box.   Harry @julito: Quickset doesn't effect my sound on M1710. You must have screwed something up in your settings... Very useful program, if you set it right (max performance) then it works fine.   Moses used (w7 laptops) to fix certain setting changes from not showing up on desktop.   marie Dell level 3 Tech states if Quickset.exe is not found in C:\Windows\System32 reinstall it (or) it is a virus or spyware The only other information I have discovered reguarding this perticular issue is associated with "DHS" There is no difinative information reguarding this issue other than dell is and has been recieveing many many calls reguarding this exact issue.
