The IBM Access Connections Service is one component of a larger package of software utilities preinstalled on Thinkpad notebook PCs from Lenovo (formerly IBM). It is responsible for managing network connections for the PC, allowing you to change key settings such as you IP address and DNS server. It is recommended that this be kept running on Thinkpad PCs to avoid loss of functionality.
