rate0 Check what folder it's in to make sure it's legitimate: PSDrvCheck.exe description: Related to Pinnacle InstantCopy CD/DVD software. Located in "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\" on Windows 95/98/ME, "C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\" on Windows NT/2000 and "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\" on Windows XP.   Ari
rate1 Come with Pinnacle InstantCopy software.   Antti
rate1 Yes, it is safe, it comes with the best home video editing system Pinnacle.   Tom
rate1 I run Pinnacle Showcenter and Studio 9. Needed file. Does not like to be disabled (unless you are not using Pinnacle Systems).   saratoga63
rate1 Essential if you want to run pinnacle studio. It's safe. Don't remove it
rate1 My Mp3 pro certainly   Dachikun
rate5 I never ever had anything from Pinnacle Systems GmbH or had ever heard about it, but still I have this on my windows startup. So it must be a trojan, and I'll remove it right now.   Luis-CH
rate1 Related to Pinnacle Studio 9 - DEFINATELY NOT THE BEST HOME EDITING SYSTEM! For a better video editor that let's you edit more layers and doesn't leave hidden crap running on your system try Adobe Premiere.
rate3 Related to Pinnacle Studio 10.5 as well. Slows machine down. If you can dump Pinnacle then do it.   Dave Robinson
rate4 It comes with WaveLab 5 and Clean 5 and stops XP from seeing any of my optical drives. Once the file was removed from the system dir and the machine was rebooted, the drives reappeared.   Doc
rate3 Although I removed all my Pinnacle-software weeks ago, this process didnīt disapear. I didnīt have problems up till now, but bad uninstalls which, willingly or not, leave running applications, are a security risk. Neither AntiVir nor Ad-Aware SE found the file to be dangerous, so I guess its still the original.   aSmD

rate5 I never ever had anything from Pinnacle Systems GmbH either so it has to be evil   dcm
rate1 psdrvcheck.exe is a part of the Pinnacle InstantCopy application. This process is used by Pinnacle InstantCopy to check the drivers. This is a non-essential process. Disabling or enabling it is down to user preference.   Andy123
rate1 Pinnacle Stuido 9 - Is the Best "Home" Editor... Adobe Premiere is considered Professional. It costs a lot more!!   WildFlower
rate3 Pinnacle software comes bundled with Dazzle unit  See also: Link   Marktheshark
rate3 in windows 7 the files are located in C:\Windows\SysWOW64. There are also files called PSDrvCheck.NL/PSDrvCheck.IT, etc. They are also save to remove. Annoying as hell that this file doesn't get removed automatically   Rens
rate3 In Window Task Manager of Win 7, right click of mouse on 'PSDrvCheck.exe*32' , Select 'Open File Location', this will bring you to where you want to do manual removal. After un-install, the un-installer program is doing a lousy job.   NathL
rate3 This file does not seem to be removed at the time you uninstall Pinnacle software. While probably useful when you are using their program, it doesn't need to exist when you remove the programs. Yet ANOTHER annoying thing about Pinnacle. :/   Zen
