Nero Scout is a component of Nero CD/DVD burning software. It is an indexing service that launches automatically when Nero is installed, searching your computer for multimedia and other files that are relevant to Nero. It then remains active, periodically looking for new files of the same type that are added to the system in the future. It can be disabled within the preferences settings for Nero.
