Cringer You can disable it by renameing it to mssysmgr.exe.old and there appear to be no effects whatsoever. Also, once disabled, if you remove he Run registry key for mssysmgr.exe, it will not be re-created since mssysmgr.exe was creating it after being launched.

Chip I've been having trouble with my win98 system freezing. Just before it happened the last time I looked at task manager and saw mssysmgr "not responding". I told task manager to shut it down, and it froze my system. Had not used PhotoShow Deluxe, but had viewed a slideshow on WebShots.
