FlamencoMan Webshots is actually a pretty cool program, if you like such things. Never had a problem with it.
Smigle Launcher.exe is used by SonyEricsson PC Suite
Peter Jaxon It always tries to install itself when I open Webshots, one of my security programs says its spyware, I refuse install because if you don't want Webshots to automatically change your wallpaper, or use the calender it's not needed. It's lack doesn't affect the screensaver which is all I use. Any file I don't need that has even just the potential to cause problems...why should I have that. Webshots is very cool and I doubt they misuse it, but even if they do I don't care cause I don't have it.
warez This is used in the Centra Symposium, it is also used for World of Warcraft. But, an exe can be named anything, if you have one of the two running It is no spyware risk.  See also: Link

Major launcher.exe is also used in some scanner programs such as the Epson Perfection 4180 Photo.
DDS Launcher.exe is located in \ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\Java and runs as part of the Java update process. If you've received one of those "update available" messages about Java, and agreed to download and install the update, the Launcher.exe app shouldn't be considered dangerous. If you're not updating Java, I guess you need to look at some of these other possibilities.
worldo f warcraft lancher
brasileirismo There are different "laucher.exe" as noted in all the responses. I had two, one from SoftThinks, and another in my Java file. The one description for the one that came up on my System Start Up utility in Spybot may've been associated with either of these, but the description offered indicated DownloadWare which is not on my system. Therefore the red flagging of this item and registry key wasn't relevent flagging. In otherwords in my case, false alarm.  See also: Link

JH I have never had any problems with it. It only became noticeable when I edited my startup processes and saw it. Nothing has come up since this, nor has anything of ill intent been associated with the file. I had not downloaded any of the mentioned applications that generates this file, so I honestly have no clue where it's from. It's not in any of my programs' core files, so it's definitely not necessary to run anything other than itself. I may look into it and remove it later if it's proven to be malignant.
Ariel In hp preloaded software systems it could be a recovery disk launcher i would disable until needed until further investigation if you own a Hp.  See also: Link
