Michael My System was half as fast than usually. As I own an Athlon 64, in "Laptop"-Mode of Windows XP burning is no problem with 950 MHz. But suddenly MSI core center showed frequencies of up to 5 GHz!!! The temperature went up to 75 degrees celsius and I thought about shutting down the system. But then I tried to kill "imapp.exe" and - voila! the system jumped back to 950 Mhz, as usually, and the temperature went down.
