rate2 This Programm also comes with the AnitVirus Prog F-Secure. It is located in a folder named "backweb" Note: backWeb.exe is a process associated with an application from Backweb Technologies. It comes bundled together with a large number of desktops and is used to detect and download available updates. So i think it's just for downloading updates.  See also: Link   Echtzeit0815

rate1 It is a part of the Charter High Speed Security Suite and should not be deleted from your startup as long as you use Charter Security suite.   Tony
rate2 It is part of F-Secure and let's you update F-Secure. If you have F-Secure installed on your computer, this isn't dangerous. Charter also comes with F-Secure so if you get your internet from Charter this is also harmless. Otherwise this is a very dangerous application in disguise!   Kyle
