supposedly volume control for creative sound cards, but shows up as a trojan to clamav. I suspect a very sneaky low-zones trojan disguised as the sound mixer
CTSysVol,eze works fine as the sound mixer for the Audigy , however, it is missing the L & R panning for stereo
I've never owned a Creative product. Noticed this process around the same time my internet started going haywire. Killed this process and the internet is apparently fixed for now. I'm suspicious.
I think it's infected with a Trojan. If I turn it off, my desktop goes away. If I turn it on, it spawns an explorer and opens up over 30 back end TCP connections. WireShark shows packets flying all over the internet. If I kill the explorer process it respawns and re-opens the connections. If I kill CTSysVol.exe the explorer does not re-spawn and no connections open. Glenn A. Meisenheimer
