DaDende Gehört zu Kaspersky und ist unbedenklich. Allerdings gibt es in Kaspersky Internet-Security 6.0 einen BUG, der dafür sorgt, dass die CPU voll ausgelastet wird.
It has to do with Kaspersky Antivirus.
Rico Anwendung Kaspersky Antivirus = Virenscanner
jx it's the kaspersky anti-virus/internet security 6 proccess. normally it's located in c:\program files\kaspersky labs\kaspersky product name . on normal usage you should see two avp.exe proccesses, one is the service part and the other the gui,

Alex Roy could be a trojan or kaspersky anti-virus, cuz it don't make sence that it would be using 95% of my cpu (an am running 2 simotanioius scans)
kikugi If in Windows or Windows\system32 folder then it's a Trogan; If in a Kaspersky folder then it's OK.
MasterM Anti-Virus Programm
the best AV program Kaspersky
Found in the "system32" but I do not have any McAfee antivirus products... i "found" it when Kerio started shouting something like avp.exe is connecting somewhere "outgoing connection"
cgc its not kaspersky when its in root
er kommt in der taskliste 2 mal vor: 1 mal als systemtask und 1 mal als benutzertask
EThaNol Kaspersky Security ist mehr als gut.
It is an anti-virus. Tends to not like to interact well with other firewalls though, and like all anti-virus you shouldn't have 2 different types installed or else they'll conflict.  See also: Link

fabian I've this file since i clicked a link to some not serious antivirussoftware. Since then my computer has a cpu usage of 100%... I think this is a virus oder something like that...
avp.exe is NOT a part of any virus software. because of the trouble I had in getting rid of it I give it a bit of concern
kyle Q its typically a virus or malware if you dont own the kasperky software and it is a virus hidden under this name.
onebutters I never had Kaspersky installed on my computer yet I have this process running. I cleaned it off using HiJackThis anyway just to be safe
Say Xiong I'm not running Kapersky, but I have it. If it's located in c:\windows, stop stop the process and just delete it. Remove it from the registry. And keep it from starting up in msconfig. Also remove syswin.exe, syswin6000.exe, iun6002.exe, and mgrs.exe.
Taishi I got this file attacking my regestry files when I downloaded something on the net, I believe it may of been some kind of trojen disguised as avp.exe. I managed to eraise it from my windows directly along with msgr that was doing the same thing. I don't think its essential but if you don't have Kasperky like I don,t I believe it could be dangerous and would advise to remove it immedietly
Grace It was resident in the C:\Windows\system32 directory and seemed to be a dodgy file as windows would not delete it and it did not say where it was from. I did not have Kaspersy loaded but when I did install Kaspersky, yes there was a file with the same name in the program folder, too. It is a different and new file. The previous one I am sure is malicious, but if it lives in Kaspersky it is part of the program.... I still have virus/worm trouble atm and Kaspasky is finding a few resident, but one of them just killed Kaspersky dead. Bugger,
norton keeps bringing it up as a virus notification and does not stop notification - constant popup windows. Quarantined but still a nuisance
A trojian with that name was found on my PC, by the name: Win32:Rbot-EUN [Trj]
Sizzla MUST it is just a program designed to slow down the comuter. kaspersky should check it. it is fake!
oiram main component of Kaspersky AV/IS
ryan avg free edition shows that avp.exe is a trojan generic downloader on my pc
chandra c:\windows\avp.exe is a virus for sure..it made reboots and adding entries to registry
Tom If you don't have Kasperky, then it is a malware and should be removed.
BH I no longer have the antivirus installed but this file is still running on my system
fury777 It might be kapersky anti virus shield but it can also be a trojan process...tht disguise as AVP.exe
Bob Interrupts print commands for common controllers, causes over 50% CPU usage. Reccomend different suite if doing printing to HP or Copiers
