Dave I noticed that my PC was running a little slow so I opened the task manger and looked at the processes and this one is using 90-98 percent of the CPU, is this normal?

I actually have another anti-virus program, McAfee Virus-Scan Enterprise(althogh my subscription expired and I did not renew it). Even though it hadn't been updated, it ran an automatic scan and picked up avgamsvr.exe as a Trojan. It might be a false alarm, but I'm not entirely sure.

Nancy It would only be using a lot of the CPU if the scanner was currently running. If it says 98% and the scanner isn't running, check that it's not another file NAMED the same as AVG
